Ironman's In Town

This week is the Ironman World Championship here in Kona and has been CRAZY. Triathletes everywhere and I work at Lava Java which is the epicenter of hanging-out for these guys....which means lines out the door for us Lava Java girls. Funny side note... I thought being around the ironman would make me want to do it but...it hasn't. I mean don't get me wrong I still enjoy watching it all and get excited but more than anything I want a healthy balance in my life. A life that is always asking the Lord if I am putting other things before Him or if I am wanting to do something (racing, training, etc) to gain the approval of others.

In the midst of the long hours at work, I look a run along the coast this morning and stopped by the water after a whopping 12 minutes. I had a God moment. Overtaken by my Creators creativity and beauty I was captivated by the crashing waves. I want to WALK with the Lord. I mean really walk with Him everyday. Like hand in hand...him guiding me..me constantly remembering how weak I am without Him. I have struggled since my move to Kona to put God first. I want Him there cause He is where true life resides. He brings peace and purpose into everyday. He REALLY is the only things that truly satisfies and without Him I am M-E-S-S Mess.
